ARTWORK / GENERAL

CAN YOU CREATE AN ORIGINAL DESIGN BASED ON MY IDEA?

Yes! Our design rate starts @ $75/hour and is based on complexity of your idea.
All designs created by MFG Merch. are the property of MFG Merch unless client purchases full
rights & ownership of the custom design in additional to the artwork creation fee.

WHAT IS PRINT READY ARTWORK?

- We classify print ready artwork as art submitted in vector format (.ai, .eps, .svg or .pdf),
300dpi and sized to print with all text + strokes outlined.
- If you are submitting a raster image or Photoshop (.png, .psd or .ti) then the artwork
needs to have a transparent background with a minimum resolution of 300dpi but no
bigger than 600dpi. Any resolution lower than 300dpi will produce a grainy image in most cases.
- Multicolor artwork should be separated by layers with pantones indicated.
- Files not submitted in the listed formats above may incur an additional art fee.

WHAT IF MY ARTWORK IS NOT PRINT READY?

We want to provide a perfect product to you and with screenprint that starts with your artwork.
We allow 30 minutes to prep your files for production. Prep and adjustments that exceed
30 minutes are subject to our design rate of $75 an hour. When you submit your art we will notify
you of any additional charges. File preparation done by MFG Merch. are the property of MFG Merch.
We own the print ready design le, this can be purchased for an additional fee.

WHAT IS THE 3% SPOILAGE POLICY?

Because creating custom garments is not an exact science, there can be small issues due to
production, vendor issues or random acts of God. If 3% or less of your order is misprinted we
will refund the difference to you and edit your final invoice. If more than 3% of your order is
misprinted then we will reprint the missing amount at no additional cost.

WHAT IS THE PHOTO STRIKEOFF PROCESS?

When a photo strikeoff is requested we will notify the client of the date & a time window of
scheduled production. Once confirmed we will take a photo of the design while on press
and send to the client for immediate approval.
Client’s can make ONE minor adjustment to the placement + color (1 color in a multicolor job) during this time.
If a major adjustment is requested or we do not get a response within 10 minutes then the job will rescheduled at
our earliest convenience. Rescheduling may incur additional set-up fees.

CAN I RETURN MY GARMENTS?

If your order does not match the specifications from your approved digital mockup then we
will happily reprint the order. Contact the account representative who processed your order
and we’ll get you taken care of!

SCREENPRINT

WHAT ARE YOUR SCREENPRINT MINIMUMS?

Our minimum is 100 pcs per design / garment with restrictions as to how many colors.
Smaller orders can be sent for review by management.

WHAT ARE YOUR TURNAROUND TIMES?

Our standard turnaround time for screenprint orders is 10 - 14 business days. If
additional finishings are required then turnaround time may increase.
If we are able to accomodate a rush order the following costs will be applied:
1 business day = 100% of order
2 business days = 90% of order
3 business days = 80% of order
4 business days = 70% of order
5 business days = 60% of order
6 business days = 50% of order

WHAT ARE RETAIL FINISHINGS?

Retail finishings are services that are provided after the product has finished production.
Here are some finishings that we offer as well as the additional turnaround time
added to our standard screen print turnaround time of 10 - 14 business days:
Polybag + Tag: +2 business days
Screen printed Neck Tags: +2 business days
Woven Labels / Hem Tags: +3 business days
Add an embroidery location: +4 business days

CAN I MIX AND MATCH GARMENTS TO MEET THE MINIMUM?

Each design must be printed on the same garment type to meet the minimum.
For example: 50 tees with a 1 color front center design is a full order, 25 tees and 25 zip-up hoodies
would count as two different set ups and both garment styles would need to increase to 50 each.

WHAT IS THE MAX PRINT SIZE?

Our maximum print size for screenprint orders is 13” x 16” for regular printing and
15 x 19” for oversized printing.

WHAT TYPES OF INK DO YOU PRINT WITH?

We offer reflective ink, water-based, metallic, discharge, puff, glow-in-the-dark and
plastisol inks. An additional cost will incur for certain ink types.
SCREENPRINT

DO YOU HAVE COLORS TO CHOOSE FROM?

Yes, we have stock colors that we have ready and available to print

WHAT IS PANTONE MATCHING?

If none of our standard stock colors will work for your order then we can mix
custom colors for $15/per color. This is a one-time fee that will not apply to
reorders. Refer to the Pantone Solid Color swatch book.

CAN I SEND YOU MY GARMENTS TO PRINT ON?

Yes!

EMBROIDERY

WHAT ARE YOU EMBROIDERY MINIMUMS?

Our minimum is 100 pieces per design / location.

WHAT FILES DO YOU ACCEPT?

For embroidery we accept .dst and .emb files. If you don’t have these file types
available then we will digitize your artwork for a one time digitizing fee based on
your specifications.

CAN YOUR PANTONE COLOR MATCH MY DESIGN FOR EMBROIDERY?

Yes and no!
Thread colors are based on vendor availability and are not custom created
in-house. In some cases we can find a direct match to some Pantone colors but
not all swatches are available. In any case, will match as close as we can to the
original artwork.

WHAT IS THE MAX SIZE FOR EMBROIDERY?

Max embellishment size in embroidery is based on the garment but cannot exceed
15” x 15”

FULFILLMENT

WHAT IS FULFILLMENT?

Fulfillment is when we produce your garment/hat, place into inventory within the shopify store and within our warehouse inventory, and then we ship once an order is received from your shopify ecommerce system.

Fulfillment Service will ship all your consumer orders directly to your customers for a monthly fee.

CAN I FULFILL ITEMS THAT WERE NOT PRODUCED BY MFG MERCH?

Yes!
We can fulfill all items that are being sold on your online store even if they were not produced by us.

We would like to provide everything, but we understand you may have some items such as books or other items that come from another source.

CAN I PROVIDE MY OWN PACKAGING OR STICKERS?

Yes! If you have custom polybags, boxes, postcards, stickers or other branded materials you’d like to go out with your orders then just ship them to us.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR MY ORDERS TO SHIP?

Orders will ship between 2 - 3 business days of receiving an order.

IS FULFILLMENT A PRINT-ON-DEMAND SERVICE?

No. We will notify you when an item is low in inventory or sold out and ask if you want to restock your store by placing a reorder.

Cut & sew is a manufacturing process in which custom fabric is cut into pieces and then sewn together to create a finished product, such as a shirt or a pair of pants.

We help you from creation/estimating(quoting)/production/shipping/fulfillment.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM ORDER QUANTITY (MOQ) ?

The minimum order quantity (MOQ) for cut & sew products can vary depending on the specific product and design but no less than 300 pieces per style + colorway. At MFGMerch, we work with our clients to provide a custom quote based on their specific needs and requirements.

Yes! If you are a local client we’d be happy to arrange delivery of your goods for a
